We are thrilled to announce this big news for Aeolus SAS: the signing ceremony and groundbreaking ceremonies for the Sidi Bouzid and Tozeur solar power plants were held in Tunisia.
The signing ceremony took place on September 18th at the Government Palace in the Kasbah, and the groundbreaking ceremonies took place on September 19th in Sidi Bouzid and Tozeur respectively, in the presence of H.E. Fatma Thabet, Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy, accompanied with H.E. Takeshi Osuga, Japan Ambassador in Tunisia and Hideharu Toba, CEO of Aeolus, among others.
Sidi Bouzid and Tozeur are two solar projects in Tunisia with capacity of 50 MW respectively. These projects represent the first renewable energy ventures in Tunisia for Aeolus and aligns with Tunisia’s goal to increase the renewable energy share to 35% of its energy mix by 2030. In partnership with Scatec ASA, these projects mark Aeolus’ first commemorative investment since its establishment in March 2024 by Toyota Tsusho Corporation, through CFAO Group and Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation.
This event marks a significant step forward in our commitment to renewable energy and sustainable development. Through this new milestone, Aeolus remains committed to contributing to the development of Tunisia and other African countries through renewable energy projects.
